We’d like to extend a very warm welcome to Year 5, to all of our children, parents, carers, family and friends.
This year, the children in Year 5 are taught in 2 classes. The classrooms are located in the front mobile (FBL and FBR).
This year, the children will be taught by Mr Alcock and Mrs Carney.
Year 5 PE days are on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pupils should come to school wearing their PE kit on their designated day.
Start: 8:50am
Lunch: 12:10pm – 1:10pm
Finish: 3:20pm
Religious Education is provided for all pupils except for those withdrawn at the request of their parents. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from some or all RE lessons and activities. Teachers and the RE leader engage in discussion with the parents to explore whether or not withdrawal is the only option, ways to accommodate the family’s beliefs within the lessons and practical arrangements for withdrawal if this is seen as the only option. Where pupils are withdrawn from RE, schools have a duty to supervise them, though not to provide alternative teaching/activities.
